The MD4000 third-generation network offers very high performance with minimal delays of approximately 1 millisecond per (node-to-node) hop. The resulting backhaul network
is a Layer 2 switched infrastructure, transparent to data protocols, but protected over the air by a strong portfolio of security features.

Node-to-node distances in this application may be up to 10 miles (16+ Kilometers) and overall end-to-end backhaul distances may be hundreds of miles or kilometers under proper conditions.
