Wireless Remote Video Surveillance
Border and perimeter security environments demand high performance over extended distances for date, voice and surveillance and tactical video. In most cases, wired or fiber connectivity is unavailable, so the network must be delivered wireless over many hops (node to node connections). MeshDynamics' patented and patent pending third-generation wireless mesh architecture delivers bandwidth with minimal delay and jitter over many hops. In addition, the MeshDynamics network functions as a Layer 2 switch infrastructure, transparent to a wide variety of sensor and video streams.

In a successfully deployed border security network along the Arizona Mexico border, MeshDynamics nodes are providing connectivity for a variety of security applications to mobile border security forces. Node-to-node distances reach up to 14 miles. [News Article]  MeshDynamics was chosen because of high data rate performance and minimal latency and jitter, over multiple hops (node-to-node connections). This performance is critical in these environments because it would be much too expensive to wire a large number of Ethernet connections into every location where video cameras are needed.

Competitive products were tried in many of these applications were unsuccessful because of high latency and jitter that caused the video surveillance applications to fail. MeshDynamics products also allow multiple backhauls to fork from one mesh node - as in this airport video surveillance application outlined below. The large blue box is a dual downlink root node model 4452. The small blue boxes are 4250 with Axis IP cameras. They act as wireless monitors along the perimeter. All video is transmitted to the root.
